question about box launchers

It been awhile since i last played but I put 8 box launchers and 4 regular size 3 launchers on a sloop.   One single
search and missile sensor for both.    I keep trying to get the box launchers to fire but they always say ready to
fire but then unassign themselves from the sensors and don't fire.   what am i missing?

Are there missiles in the launchers?  (also you might need to assign the ordnance to the box launchers, i dont remember)

yes. missile assigned to launcher and when they did not assign using auto assign fc i manually assigned them... went into battle and the
regular mls fired but the box launchers always stopped being assigned to the sensor like the regular launchers.   have had to do it manually.
