Ran through ME3 to prepare.  :)  Then I read a verrrrry long series of blogs about the problems with Mass Effect 2-3.... the plot is stunningly bad when you try to evaluate it.  There were far deeper problems than the ending... 

Hopefully ME: Andromeda  will break this trend, having been developed by a different studio.  I'll be watching the plot with a more critical eye this time.

PS,those subscribing to Origin's subscriber...thing get to 'preview' the game on Mar 16.
