SA Developments

Hi Steve,

Have you stopped all SA development while you are working on Aurora?

If not can you give a hint for a clue as to when the next SA Upgrade might come?

Cheers

Mike

SA development is stopped at the moment while I concentrate on Aurora, although I am keeping all the bug reports and suggestion mails.

As to when I will put another SA update out, the unfortunate answer is the next time I get of burst of SA related enthusiasm :) Some small thing will spur me to check something in SA, then I will just fix something else while its open and before you know it I will be deep into bug fixes and getting out an update.

Speaking of some small thing to make you stick your hed in SA again . . .  Is there any chance you could publish the complete map of Rigellian-known space as a single image?  Trying to piece together the dozen or so maps that exist makes my head hurt.

Ooh, how about publishing the entire Rigellian Campaign database for those that want to poke around inside it?  (Although, I suppose it's probably over 200 Mb by now, and thus a little unwieldy for file sharing.)

I could release the database but the SA code and database have moved on a little since the last release so I am not sure how well it would run with the last released executable. Worth a try I guess.

Current database is at:

aurorafiles/SAFiles/Starfire.zip

Its about 7Mb zipped. As I said, this database is newer and may not be completely compatible with the latest exe so please don't report bugs that you get with this database but not with the current release version

Thanks to Erik for hosting the file.
