Wrecks
« on: June 09, 2011, 04:20:17 AM »
New player here and noob.

First system found and it had 5 Wrecks so equipped a Salvager and proceeded to salvage the wrecks.  The first three wrecks were easy: 2 x 5500 ton wrecks and a 11000 ton wreck but the last two wrecks were proving a problem for my remaining salvager who only had 1 cargo hold as they were both 25 MILLION tons  :o  it had trouble locking on to them.

How can I salvage these behomoth or are these a bug? we seem to get a fifth back in minerals so that would mean a huge cargo fleet  :(

I hear aliens sometimes live in habitats, some of which have fallen to disrepair.  have you actually filled that transport?  You can always transfer the goods to another ship if it actually fills up.

Also, you can spread out the loot among all the vessels in the fleet. My scrap fleets are 1 military Deep Space Salvage Vessel with about 5 commercial freighters. They can go a long time without dumping the loot on a colony.
