Anyone know how long you have to track a missile to get the max bonus?

And is it based on having the missile on active sensors or having the missile within range of a fire control?

It lowers the speed bonus of missiles faster than your defenses are set to and thus raises your chances to hit that missile. See this post for more.

So according to Charlie Beeler there, the time you need to track those missiles on active radar for max bonus is 50s*techlevel. 50s for Max20%bonus, 100s for Max40%bonus...

Just in case anyone wasn't aware and was going to rely on it, as per the current version of Aurora this technology is bugged.

The tracking bonus accrues (you can set the System Map display to show it) but it makes absolutely no difference to the % To Hit of any weapon.
