how to remove a ship?
« on: October 06, 2010, 03:06:33 PM »
I was messing around with colony ship design based on the hull I use for my salvagers.
for whatever reason a shipping line built that design and now its trying to unload colonists even though
it shouldnt have any cryogenics aboard.  its dragging my game down having to clear their orders all the time.
how do I get rid of it?
can I kill it and if so how?
can I remove it from the MDB file and if so how?
and how the heck do you get into designer mode?

Getting into designer mode can seriously screw things up, if your up to the task you have to write threatening emails to steve.
Or you could nicely ask him through a PM. Alternatively, create a second race with SM functions, tech it up with those same functions, build a PDC with high tech LR missiles, wreck the ship, then delete everything they got.

I don't know if it actually works, but you could also try unlocking the design in question and adding cryo modules. Unless you've got some actual ships of the design, anyway.

With SM mode, it should still work with ships, but you have to refit them to themselves.
