I was trying to help him with his work on the wiki.  In his definition of "Research bonus" on the Leaders window, he indicates that this bonus is used by planetary or sector governors to boost the research of a population.

Quoted from your link:

"In v4.7, planetary governors no longer have a research bonus."
Your point???  To my knowledge, Steve has not made significant changes to leaders in the intervening years.  Other than some additional skills being added here and there, that post delineated the separation of various skills between officers, administrators, and researchers.

Excellent spot, thank you. I'll work on it today (I do the wiki when I'm bored at work XD)

If I recall correctly, this post has the latest data on leader skills.

The wiki indicates that the research bonus can be used by planetary or sector governors.

I'm running version 5.6 and the only leaders that have research bonuses are scientists.  The only assignments available for scientists on the leaders window are teams and I haven't found a way to assign a scientist as a planetary governor.

Has this changed in a newer version.

Probably should mention something about the forced retirement aspects of realistic promotions also.

Cheers Erik, I'll look into it

Accurate to the best of my knowledge, but then, some of that page is new to me.

Okay, I just updated and edited the Leaders page, can someone please go over it? I'm under no illusion as to how much I know, and I may be wrong on some of the latest mechanics, so if someone could spend five minutes just reading through it and either edit it to the correct stuff or post it here, I'd be most appreciative :D

It's a term for a ship that carries ordnance for other ships. If the checkbox is ticked in the class design window task groups will have similar orders to use their stocks as they do when interacting with supply ships and tankers

Cheers guys. There's a lot of work, I've found details from two different releases in the one page before lol. Do either of you know what a Collier is and how it works?

I started in on updating engine design for the player-designed systems glossary a day or two ago, and I'll probably be focusing on that area of major v6 changes over time

Oh wonderful. :)  The wiki needs updating pretty badly. Please feel free to ask questions about anything and everything, we love answering them.

I'm new here, and new to Aurora, and I must say I've found the wiki okay at best, so i've decided to start to fix that.  There wasn't even a page on Thermal Sensors.
Now, I don't know everything about Aurora, so any and all help will be appreciated.  I'll be routinely asking questions as well.  This is just a sort of 'hey all, gonna try and fill the wiki up' sort of notification, and as I said, all help appreciated
