The Ashdod refit is complete. The CSU steal swordfish II missile technology from the OPAB. The Mk II was an improvement on the Mk I 1/3 faster speed and double the range. A new system called Mark, has an interesting potential for a colony. The newly launched jump scout ship the Impulse located the Van Maanen System but with only a sun and the cold of space it jump back to explore. , other opportunities in the Ross 248 system.
The Impulse then found Eta Cassiopeiae a twin sun system has an interest possibility for colonising, Impulse would resupply and take onboard a geo survey vessel and jump back to the system to investigate.

The Syoans scheduled for a November attack. The OPAB moved into the system it had already constructed gateways from Earth to 21 Artemis, so the two bomber squadrons could pass. There was a slight delay as the Bomber Squadrons need to refuel, due to radio silence this put the timing off on the attack by an hour or two.
Outside the last system orbit zone the OPAb detected a number of nuclear explosions, however they were still 100 million miles away. The battle appeared to be over very fast but there was nothing from the Syoans and the OPAB closed to the location of the fight. The OPAB thought they could at least inflict a strike and perhaps there small ships would not be detected.
The squadron ran into two very fast alien ships that stayed outside weapons range, they tried to close or do maneuver to trap the vessels however the alien proved to smart and too fast, it was not long before a enemy battle group caught up with the bombers and destroyed each and every craft.
Indominable watched from a distance transmitted it good bye and took on message from the life pods and proceed to leave the system, knowing it was condemning a lot of service people to their death.

Duranium now under control, the Syoan are now tooling for another strike at the phase with OPAb support. For the support OPAB only wanted a trade agreement and ability to salvage the wreckage. Little did OPAB know about the ruins, or the potential of the system in minerals.

Another Battle Fleet in flames, the humans if they did show up were much to late. The Phase surprised the Syoans, at 40km the Syoans launched of 100 of their best missile, watch only a few trickle through, causing minor damage if anything. The Syoans reversed and headed for their jump gate, but the Phase was faster and the amount of missile that were fired depleted all the 500 missile stores on the four vessels. When all done the only thing floating were life pods with no chance for rescue and wreckage. Where were the Humans!
The Syoans took battle recording from the OPAB Indomitable after the battle and analysis them. They understood the coordination was just not there and the Humans were still very much technical inferior to the Syoans also the Syoans currently were very much slower then the Phase. There would be no chance for another opportunity for some time.
