Moving space ports
« on: August 27, 2011, 09:10:27 AM »
Maybe my search-fu is crap but I couldn't find anything on this topic. How can I move/relocate my space ports?

I cannot command my tug to move them, as they can only move shipyards. For my cargo ships, there is no command "load space port", like there is for every other installation. Am I missing something or do space ports really need to be built on each planet?

Think of them as an airport - pretty hard to tow those around....

Well, Shipyards and construction factories are probably pretty big as well. Oh well, thanks for the information.

The difference is that a shipyard is already in space, the factory is lots of heavy discrete machines while a spaceports biggest part is going to be the space on the ground that is stressed and hardened to take the touchdowns and liftoff of huge ships.  (A 30,000 ton cargo ship is a pretty big item when you think about it.)
