Version 4 was released!

Changelog:
  • Script now also handle change of thousand separator. That should fix problems with ship designer.
  • Added flag image pack by Mirage. IMHO original real country flags break game immersion.

- cough - Also I think that this topic already deserve sticky :-)

Ack, I still get the SYSINFO. OCX error; as well as a "Cannot open Aurora/JETCOMP. exe" error due to me being on a 64-bit system.  Gah.

64 bit systems are not a problem. Unless you use some monster than cant run 32bit code.

Well, nevermind.  After restarting it all works fine.   ::)

And nope, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Saying "Thankyou" just isn't enough!!!

I've been trying to get this game to work for years but just couldn't put all the pieces together ( my skills at installing d/l'ed games ends at clicking "yes" or "ok" at the appropriate prompt :D ).
I'm finally able to see what all the fuss is on these boards :D .  And "fuss" there is!!1 A very steep learning curve- I'm learning tho !
Again, AcidWeb, thanx !!!

Thanks for this utility.  Makes it easy to run this game.  I do have one request, though.  Would it be possible to have some way of setting the thousands separator to our preference?  A parameter to the executable, perhaps.  I much prefer the "," separator over the " " that this launcher uses.

The launcher uses " " because Aurora requires it.

I've been fighting since Thursday to fix my Linux install that broke for no apparent reason.   This worked on the second try.   Thankyou :'(

In case anyone else needs this:
WINEPREFIX=$HOME/games/Aurora/wine
wine winecfg. exe
cd "$WINEPREFIX/drive_c/Program Files"
mkdir -p "Common Files/Microsoft Shared/dao"
winetricks vb6run jet40
unzip -x path/to/Aurora621-AWv4. zip
cd Aurora
chmod 755 *exe
wine AW_Aurora. exe

Actually, the only requirement is that the decimal separator be a ". " (and that the thousands separator not be a ". ").  I've found I can go to the regional settings after starting the portable launcher and change the thousands separator back to "," and Aurora will pick this up and start using it.  I mention this in case anyone else would like to see the comma separator.

That can cause issues when trying to save a number to the database.

The portable launcher is missing flags 0211 to 0391.
0211-0389 are in the 5.54 patch.
0390-0391 are in the 2.60 patch.

They are not missing. I removed them deliberately.
Original flags were replaced by flag image pack by Mirage.

In every game or just default one included with game?
