Title: C# Anticipation
Post by: Caplin on August 03, 2018, 11:45:58 PM
I just wanted to post because I was reminded again tonight of why I can't wait for the C# version to be playable. I've run into a weirdly troublesome variant of the touchscreen/tree view bug, and none of my solutions thus far have worked. I still struggle with selecting colonies, and I'm sure that this issue won't come up with the new version at all.

Did you disable the touch screen?

I don't have a touchscreen, either in my Windows device manager or physically. I went in and disabled the touchscreen/tablet service anyway.

Things are still behaving strangely, and I have no idea why or how to fix it. I can select my martian colony but can't ever seem to get Earth to re-select afterwards. It's simple enough to work around this, close the economics window, but I shouldn't have to. I've never seen this before.

The tree view is also occasionally prone to disappearing for reasons I can't begin to understand.

I started one game in the summer, and another game in august, and both fizzled out since I'm looking so much to C# Aurora. I've now given up on the idea of running "one last game" and I'm just clearing out my back log of other games in anticipation.

my C# anticpation has gone up dramatically since my VB6 game began its slow decline into nonfunctionality
