This is just my personal policy, not endorsed or authorized by anyone else.
If a registration looks suspicious, but still valid I mark it as "Activation Needed". This should send an email to the account owner asking them to click a link. Click the link, account running. Don't click the link, and seven days later I delete the entry.
For truly suspicious accounts, email addresses like "pron4u@pron.com", etc. Those get deleted right away.
If you click the activation link and it seems to error out, try again a bit later or try to post. If you can post (and I don't mean some crap post about garbage. Make it relevant) your account is active. If you still cannout post and the link does not work, my email address is available on the site. Of course, if I get spam I'll be upset.
If you put a link in your signature that promotes Canadian pharmacies, sexually oriented sites, male enhancement, female enhancement, or anything else that seems "iffy", I'll delete the signature/links. Do it a second time and I'll ban the account.
We are all here for one reason. We like Aurora and space 4x games/sims.
Now go forth, build a fleet and destroy the swarm.
