Armed Ships of the Soviet Union. Currently in service.

After two battles with what were suspected to be precursors, couple of issues were noticed with the Kirov design and upgrade was commissioned. Faster, newer gauss cannons for last line of defence. Upgraded guidance and active radar systems. Guidance systems reduced to one due to new radar homing missile designs.

Your turret tracking speed for your gauss cannons is at 10k, while you seem to be able to build a 32k tracking speed firecon (A-Vympel). Upping the tracking speed of those turrets/BFCs would vastely increase their effectiveness vs. enemy missiles.

Fuel supply seems a bit low on the Kirov and the KR8600.

Wow, that´s a lot of mag space on those corvettes! 4 launchers and space for more than 1100 missiles? I´d half that space and increase the armor quite a bit as any hit will hurt that ship   -   a lot!

Personally, I would add another troop transport module on the Gordi II, so 4 of them can carry a full division (including the Division HQ and 3 replacement battalions).

Your ships generally have very weak passives (armor/shields). At that tech-level I´d have 5 to 6 levels of armor on the smaller ships and 8 to 10 on the Kirov, but each to his own, of course.

Gauss cannons are there as a final line of defence, just in case should any enemy ship survive long enought to get within the range of my gauss guns (highly unlikely), anti-missile duties are done by the corvettes.

That's what tankers are for.

Corvette isn't designed for anti-ship roles, but as fleet escort and protection against missiles. It's not supposed to operate alone (minimum of 3 other corvettes in same fleet) either. Whatever foe it faces, the corvette can easily outrun it and shoot any incoming missile salvoes coming after it. I don't see the point of extra armour, because by the point should the magazines run out it means it has done it's job. Besides I can mass produce this design currently with a single shipyard with 10 slipways.

No arguments here

I have compressed Carbon Armour technology currently employed, and my general fleet doctrine is outgunning and outnumbering whoever happens to be at the receiving end that day, and running away should the enemy still be standing after depleting my magazines. These designs aren't meant for close combat for nothing but as a last measure. However, couple of designs (including a destroyer, several cruisers, and a battleship) are underway with about atleast a third stronger armour than what these have.

I have mixed feelings when it comes to armor.   After a recent, *very* unsuccessful engagement with some spoilers, I realized that the smaller the ship is, the thicker the armor needs to be if you want it to survive multiple hits.   On a 6000 ton frigate for example, the same damaged section of armor is more likely to be hit than say on a 12000ton cruiser (arbitrary names I use).   My next gen of ships will likely have the smaller ships with much thicker armor than larger ships.

In this very bad engagement, my 12,000 missile cruisers (also named Kirov, da tovarische!) survived numerous missile hits with no internal damage....the impacts spread out over a large surface area.  My smaller 6,000 ton PD frigates with the same thickness of armor died with far less impacts, because the chance of an enemy missile flying into a pre-existing hole in the armor was much greater.
