Just trying to put down a bit of my empires' chronology. Today is the 27th of November, 2053.
approximately 2025 - first Geological survey vessel was launched. The era of a rapid space expansion started. It lasted till 2040s, when a first alien race was discovered.
~ 2030 - first colony on Venus. Davision Transport and Trading creates a first non-government robotized colony on Europa. Soon Europa became an important mining center, at the moment there are near 120 mining governmental complexes installed. Today Europa is the biggest duranium producer. Also, soon the wrecks of unknown alien empire vessels were found in 3 jumps from the Sol system.
~ 2031 An outter Ross 154 - AII planet was colonized. Colony cost is 2. Big amount of Ammonia in atmosphere - 14%. No Oxygen.
~ 2033 an abanded JG founded, by the borders of the Luy empire which is only about to get discovered.
~2040 first alien system is encountered. Soon the geological survey ship "Kirov 3" which discovered the system was attacked by several alien intruders on its way back home. The vessel was shot down. The captain, rear admiral <<name is forgotten>> was captured by aliens.
~2042 An exploration team of four recon frigates was sent to the wrecks of Kirov 3. They encountered two enemy ships and were immediately attacked. According to the intelligence information, the enemy's vessel were able to make 16k km/s and carried a big amount of missiles of unsurpassed technology level. Soon a diplomatic team concluded a decision about the impossibility of communication with the alien empire. Now the Terran Federation uses the name Luy to designate this civilization.
~2040s - the Stagnation Era has started. All outer space investigations were stopped. At the moment humanity possess two systems. The mineral shortage started as well, so the production decreased roughly to 25%. The military production is almost frozen, for it became obvious that aliens are not going to invade at the moment and that our military forces are too week anyway.
~2040 Ross 154 AII atmosphere was purge, all Ammonia extracted. Afetr some serious consideration the planet received an official nickname "Gagarin".
End of 40s - huge investments in the Power and Propulsion researches. At the moment the most prominent scientist is Isabella Kay, almost a national hero.
Also, the government started to subsidy the private sector.

22nd September 2056 - the atmosphere of Ross 154 Gagarin has just become breathable. Although we have to extract a small amount of methane at first. It will take a year or so, probably.
