Sub-pulses are the intervals, when aurora looks if anything happens, that is importend enough to stop the flow of time. So, in your example, this is exactely what you want it to do, stop time, when the enemy comes knocking :oops: )

On the other hand, I can now spot someone lighting a match on pluto ;)

Thank for the info. I had hoped that was what they were for. I'm three transits out from Sol in just about every direction. Time to get some more
colonies up behind me. I have various patrol squadrons in the systems with colonies, but there are currently 14 unexplored jump points and all my
Hun class ships are busy. :)
