Populations and teams
« on: June 19, 2009, 02:33:16 PM »
I started a game in Sol system, on Mars there is a Partial City, I sent some people and 4 teams to investigate the city...
200 000 men and women landed on the red planet and started complaining about the place... unrest :?

Did you first create a colony on the planet using the add colony button on the System Information Window (assessed using the F9 button)? Also, did you have any infrastructure to support the colonists on the planet?  If not they won't be too happy about not having anywhere to live (I'm assuming the colony cost for Mars was above 0).

It's possible you gave the "drop team" order before the colony was created.  Try deleting the order and giving it again.

Thanks that has solved most of the problems, but what are the ratio for population vs infrastructure?? To not get unrest...

What is R4 Required??

I have found a Terraforming Installation on Mars, but how do I turn it on??

On the economy screen, select the colony in question.
There is a line reading "Planetary Suitability (colony cost)"
You need Infrastructure/colony cost per 10.0000 people or, for example, 1000 infrastructure can support 5 mio colonists on a cost 2.0 world

R4 required means: A commander has to be at least Rank 4 to be put into command of theis ship/colony

Again, on the economy screen, select the Environment tab.
There you can select the type of gas to add/remove and set the amount, at which the facility is to stop.

Hope this helps
