Lagrange Point, NPR and Civies
« on: August 27, 2011, 05:27:07 AM »
Hello,

I am trying to set a new game in which there will be 1 or 2 NPR starting with me in a 4 stars system.    I made sure there where some lagrange point so there is some kind of strategic position to defend aswell as travelling between stars easier.

My only concern is, do civies and NPR know how to use LP and do they use them?

Also, do they use hyperdrive by themself?

Thanks a lot,
Gea

As far as I know, civies use neither LPs nor hyperdrive. I haven't yet seen an NPR use a hyperdrive, either, but I'm not sure whether they use LPs.

Thanks for the answer.

Arf, to bad for my nice little Masada/Grayson campaign I guess :) .  I will try something different then.

Another question though.  Is-it possible to manually link two systems by more than one jump point?

Yes you can link the system manually to multiple jump points.  The last time I did this was in SA7 however so there may be some code that this will cause problems with when playing.

I think the manual WP manipulation screen might not have survived the jump to Aurora....

It's part of the F9 screen. On the jump point tab. You can add or remove JP and connect them. Needs SM mode.

I have done manual jp links in aurora.  The one thing I have learned is to hit the break links button on the right of the F9 jump point tab.  This seems to leave the jump point able to see all of the systems that exist.  This does include npr systems that would only be accessable via designer mode otherwise.

NPRs will use Lagrange points.
