Was this game named after Tin Tin and Captain Haddock's ship?

Has Steve ever said?

I just assumed it was a reference to the Aurora Borealis and the Aurora Australis until I constructed my first in-game freighter and decided to Google Famous freighter names.

I never made the connection with Tin Tin and Captain Haddock but then that was never one of my favorite comic strips.

I assumed it was a reference to starfire, Auroras being an atmospheric plasma event generated by solar radiation.
Or maybe steve is a fan of sleeping beauty?

Given Steve's history with Starfire, I'd go with that one.

Aurora is named after the Roman Goddess of the Dawn.

A new dawn after Starfire, plus her siblings are the Sun and the Moon so that seemed appropriate too :)

So the same reason Disney choose that name. Cool.
