Host Change

Yet again.

I've been pretty unhappy with the way this current host has performed. Emails (to myself) bouncing with a no-known address message, the email digests bouncing (for the same reason), a myriad of other little niggly things that just annoy the crap out of me.

So. I will be moving hosts. I've taken a backup of the files, and as soon as I post this, I'll take a database backup. So any posts after 8pm GMT 9/15/2008 will most likely not make the transition.

I will continue to do backups until the site is off this host.

Also, I think I'll update to pbpBB3 at the transition. I was hoping to wait for the email digest mod to be finished, but with the move, I think this will be the best time.

The transfer is in, and will take place in the next 7 days. Hopefully prior to that, as I will be out of town Oct 1-6 with irregular access.

I will continue to make regular backups as I can, and will put them onto the new host. I expect only a couple hours of downtime (famous last words).

Please be aware that any posts made from this point on may be lost. If it is important, save a local copy for repost after the move.
