If you put NAMESPACE on the page, it should tell you where it is living.

OK, it seems like this:

I can move pages to CS when the page-name is not used in main...

if it is used in main, it seems the page is on "talk" (like Installations) or I can't move it to CS Aurora (or CS_Aurora) at all as it says the page is already existing (Wealth) - don't know if it is just a copy of the "main page" or a mirror that could just be overwritten without messing with the main page - so don't want to mess with it -.-

maybe just a prefix (like C-pagename) is really a way to go... may not be a "clean solution" but the pages are not mean to stay for years but only to give the new chances an order till C# is released and help to update the "old" pages not replace them...

if you are OK with a prefix I would go this way... seems just a little bit too complicated to make the "clean solution foolproof" and not worth the risk to break the existing Wiki pages -.- also don't think the project is worth the time for you to deal with my mess -.-

might also been a bad idea from the beginning.. maybe I should just make it in word for myself insted of messing with the Wiki -.-

EDIT: Ok.. the example of "installations" brings this: http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/index.php?title=CS_Aurora_Talk:Installations leads to "my page" it is in discussions ... clicking on "Page" (which is red as if the page does not exist) I get to the "main" page Installations for the VB6... guess it is a copy of the site and no mirror but am too cowardly to test it ... don't want to break anything...

thanks a lot :)

the scary thing is, they moves to the "talk space" by themself ... was not by me and was not a hour before I noticed it...

will take a look tomorrow (if nothing intervenes) at the new namespace and we'll see what will happen ... ;D

if all goes wrong I guess I will stay on "main" with a prefix of "c" similar to what I had it at the beginning before I moved them to C# ... we'll see  8)

I changed the namespaces from C#_ to CS_

Hopefully, that will fix things.

Some of your changes seem to be in the talk space. I took the content of one and moved it to the main page. However, the namespace is not showing up. I might need to rename them.

I did nothing. I promise :)

The namespace should include the underscore. I'll dig around and see if I can find the pages.

sorry for the inconveniences -.-

it seems 3 pages are "moved" to "C# Aurora Talk:" (like C# Aurora Talk:Ship Tasks http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/index.php?title=C%23_Aurora_Talk:Ship_Tasks) - the change log "recent changes" only lists me as someone who changed anything but yesterday the 3 pages were on "C#Aurora:"

guess the other "dissapered" pages I will have to chance the "redirect" from "C#Aurora:" to "C# Aurora Talk:" but as long as I don't know why they dissapered in the first place after working for hours with multiple edits on my side I am a little bit afraid to break something...

I am really confused -.- don't dare to touch anything at the moment -.-

THe actual namespace is C#_Aurora, C#_Ships. Along with C#_Aurora_Talk and C#_Ships_Talk.

Did you just chance something? Nearly all my new pages don't exist anymore  :o ???

EDIT: hmmm.. guess I will have to pause for today.. with 7 out of 11 pages gone from one moment to the other I can't do much which wouldn't possible do harm...

EDIT2: worse, they are all gone now.. the ones which are still flagged blue as still existing are linking to the normal pages... no idea were my pages went -.-

EDIT3: C# Aurora:Installations worked just fine bevore the pages went to nirvana ... C#_Aurora:Installations I don't get my side back.. it's also linked to the normal Installations page...  no idea.. giving up for today :(

There now is a C# namespace and a C# ship namespace along with the associated talk namespaces.

sorry to bother you again Erik (or maybe anyone how knows something about wikis  :-[ :-[ :-[ )-.- ...

was just experimenting in the wiki and tryed to use the C# namespace ... I thought to use it I had to link it like:

C#:Installations as in user:XYZ

http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/index.php?title=Aurora_C

but I guess I am missing something (or is it because of the # in the namespace? Because of this I couldn't use C# as a pagename (only shown as C) but had to go for Aurora C) and the Page would be created as "C" only ...  ???

just an experiment so far to get started into wiki and already failed -.-

I could use C:Installations - but maybe it's just me  :-[

EDIT: Ok, guess I got it... made a bit of a mess, moving pages now  :-[ :-[

I can make a C# namespace. That should help things stay organized. But it will have to wait until tomorrow or later.

no idea what this meens in detail aber thanks :)

also, in the iki is noted to ask you for a wiki-account? Would it be possible to get one somewhere into the new year? Can't ask for a C# section and not try to fill it myself ("try" as in bold capital TRY letter  ;D )

thanks :)

Just send me a PM so I don't forget.

you are right, but there are way over 400 pages of discussion in the C# section - and lot's and lot's of information's Steve has given over the time which are not included in the "C# chances list"...

nobody is able to keep track on all the information's and Steve has to answer some questions again and again because not everyone is finding the answers...

I would guess it is much easier to start now, go through the 100s of pages now and add/chance what is added/chanced in the future as to go through all the paces later to bring the wiki up-to-date

but I have no idea about working a wiki, so I may be wrong...

I just know for me, a collection of all the changes - sorted and brought in order - is missing ... also for thinking the chances trough and finding loopholes which might get overseen otherwise... and no 1-man tester can find all possible complications some chances might include
