Title: C# Full Installation v1.00 (updated to 1.13.0)
Post by: Steve Walmsley on April 12, 2020, 06:40:03 AM
I'm eventually going to release C# in 32 bit and 64 bit and with an install program or a simple copy of a pre-installed folder. This release is a 32 bit pre-installed folder. The required resolution is 1440 x 900.

This is the full installation for v1.13.0

1) Create an Aurora folder in your desired location (NOT program files)
2) Download the file below
3) Unzip into the folder
4) Run Aurora.exe

v1.13.0 Full Installation (http://www.pentarch.org/steve/Aurora1130Full.rar) (110Mb)

The various images used for flags, race pictures, medals, ships, etc were all found online in an image search. If anyone would like me to remove images or attribute credit, please let me know.

Here is a link to player=provided images. Just add them to the appropriate sub-directory.

DON'T FORGET TO SAVE!! (Use the disk icon).

I'm eventually going to release C# in 32 bit and 64 bit and with an install program or a simple copy of a pre-installed folder. This first release is a 32 bit pre-installed folder and is the same version as the recent videos. The required resolution is 1440 x 900.

For now I am going to use Dropbox to avoid any issues with downloads on the forums.

1) Create an Aurora folder in your desired location (NOT program files)
2) Download the file below
3) Unzip into the folder
4) Run Aurora.exe

C# Aurora V1.00 (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/3ugbigc9c0gesq7/AuroraV100.rar?dl=0) (160Mb)

The game should open with a freshly created game. One billion pop on Earth and 1 NPR. To create a new game, click the gear icon (third from right) and then click New Game.

DON'T FORGET TO SAVE!! (Use the disk icon).

No. . . sooner or later someone will share a robust window-resizer for C# on .NET -- much the same way your web browser window can be adjusted to any size.

With reference to Steve's prgramming time, however. . .  he's been pretty adamant for fifteen-plus years.  I see no reason why it would change.

The UI won't change though. The buttons will remain in place.

And my eyes really, really don't like the dark themes and the lack of table lines (like after five minues they are already strained) but I'll manage somehow.

If someone (else) invents an "automated window re-sizer" utility that re-postions and/or re-orders the buttons for C# on .NET software generally, then it should work on Aurora.

And C# is pretty popular.  Someone may already have done so.

Steve, you're probably aware of this, but a torrent just makes the file easier to distribute.   It eases reliance on services like DropBox/Google Drive.     It definitely won't do anything to make it easier to get at the code.

4) Run Aurora. exe

C# Aurora V1. 00 (160Mb)

The game should open with a freshly created game.  One billion pop on Earth and 1 NPR.  To create a new game, click the gear icon (third from right) and then click New Game.

DON'T FORGET TO SAVE!! (Use the disk icon).

Link has been turned off automatically by Dropbox.

Hello Steve,

Since i couldn't find any way to contact you in private, I'm writing you here.   I'm part of the community developing Endless Sky, an open source game reminiscent of Escape Velocity.

We've been made aware that that Aurora C# uses some assets from Endless Sky, and i decided to check it out.   It turns out there are some *serious* licensing issues.   Now, the content that is taken from Disney's, Games Workshop's and presumably some other IPs is not really my concern - I'm not lawyer enough to determine whether that is fair use or not.   I would simply advise against taking that wager, since it only serves to make your game more vulnerable to copyright claims.
What i am concerned about is the use of licensed free artwork without proper acknowledgement.   Specifically, the files i found are:

- Ship074.  png : Originally https://github.  com/endless-sky/endless-sky/blob/v0.  9.  8/images/ship/berserker.  png, licensed under CC-BY-SA-4.  0 by Michael Zahniser:
https://github.  com/endless-sky/endless-sky/blob/97c1fae2e1a9ecec2d14cf44b34101f37e763b05/copyright#L10-L12

- Ship067.  png: Originally https://github.  com/Amazinite/Shields-Up/blob/master/002-Phils%20Flavours/images/ship/katalox-1.  png, licensed by Phil Morley under CC-BY-SA-4.  0:
https://github.  com/Amazinite/Shields-Up/blob/master/002-Phils%20Flavours/copyright%20and%20changelog%20etc.  txt

These files are all licensed under CC-BY-SA-4.  0, which allows you to use them in this way - as long as
a) you give proper credit, either by means of a Debian Copyright File (https://www.  debian.  org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.  0/) or in any less formal way
b) Aurora C# is published as either CC-BY-SA-4.  0 or a compatible license

I strongly advise you to either adhere to these terms, or remove the files in question from the game.   Not only is it legally questionable (although i doubt anyone will choose to exercise their right) , taking artwork from random artists and distributing it as a package that is seemingly entirely your work is simply disingenuous and rude.   Given that you yourself are making your creation (which is most impressive, by the way) freely available on the internet, i hope your understand and correct this situation.

Thanks for reading.

Edit: Sorry for the botched links, i can't make the forum recognize BBCode, nor can i make it stop inserting spaces after every dot.  Hope this is still somewhat readable.

So correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding Aurora C# doesn't need to be published under a compatible license if the licensed files are simply distributed separately from C# and given the appropriate credit? So repackage all images with a text file containing credit and then distribute it separately from the C# installation so that people can then download it and include it if they feel like.

You're not wrong.   MCOfficer forgot to actually read the license they were quoting.   Steve only has to attribute the images that he has used, and make available any modifications to those images that he might have made that are more substantial than technical tweaks to get them to work in Aurora.

edit: Usually including a readme. txt with a list of used material and attributions within is more than adequate.

Thanks for the clarification, i misread that indeed.  "build upon the material" is not simply redistributing.  Hence, INAL ;)

Well it seems those 3 images can stay if you include a text file or something, I don't know much about this stuff but while 3 images don't make any major difference I see no reason to remove them if you don't actually need to.

Thanks for all the work so far, 52 years into 1.5.1 and no error messages but weirdly enough no time slowed down for NPR fighting and I think I set 3 if I remember right and for them to interact with non-NPR's but we will see! I hope you get some rest. I am sure that even if you took some days / time off and spent time with your family that you will have a 99 percent bug free 1.x version out by the end of the month, you are a real monster to these bugs :)

I think adding a text file to the effect that none of the images are mine and I am happy to remove them on request is a good idea. I'll sort that out in the morning.

However, easier to remove these specific files to avoid any concerns.

The CC license requires a mention of where the material comes from, details are here:
https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/)

For other images other licenses may apply of course, but not easy to know when they are floating around the web.

If you are anyway adding a text file maybe a short terms of use statement of your own could go in there - for benefit of anyone getting the rar outside of this forum.

Since Endless Sky is open source I'm pretty sure use of the images from it fall under fair use. . .

Most open source projects take their license very seriously so I don’t begrudge them from wanting others to abide by the terms.  In this particular case, since the images are CC-BY-SA, they are clearly free for Steve to use and modify any way he likes as long as he attributes the author, which seems to be the only actual breach in this instance.

Edit to add Steve would also have to provide a link to the cc-by-sa license, but wouldn’t need to actually include the text of said license.

Edit 2: I had some language on my personal take on this situation that some could consider inflammatory.  That was not my intent and I apologize.

The notice didn't seem heavy handed to me. It was polite and honest, except it would have been more appropriate to make the notice through a private message or email to teh developer, however I have seen many instances where this kind of contact is made by an ip owner, developer, etc through a forum, its not unheard of.

If you've never played before, Aurora is a massive sandbox game of spreadsheets and micromanagement. It can be a hassle to do things and a pain to play, but if you perservere you will find an extremely well-designed, fleshed-out Space Empire simulator the likes of which has never been seen. You may spend an hour designing and building a fuel harvesting station to put in orbit of an alien gas giant, then realise you forgot to build tugs so the damn thing is going nowhere. Or build an intricate themed army of heavy vehicles and anti-air infantry, backed up by a powerful laser-bombardment cruiser, but forget to turn off the damn fuel refineries so now you have no sorium and OH GOD NOTHING IS BEING BUILT.

An amazing game.

I think the solution Steve took is the best: Remove the pictures. Because, if he would add the CC-BY-SA License to Aurora, people would quickly draw the conclusion that this is valid for the whole release. And some #reddits eventually hope this happens so they "legally" can start modifying the source code... just a thought. Was wondering why "they were informed"...  ;)

Yes, the timing and public nature of the request seemed a little coincidental, but it was useful in prompting me to add a note about the images.

Now imagine Stellaris to be the game you always wanted to be with. Imagine a perfect Space Empires 5 diplomacy and galaxy design, the beautiful feeling of Distant World Universe when you start expanding your trade routes and a little pinch of the first Endless Space. Imagine everything feeling real, alive and you have control over all of it.

Imagine, now you can.

You could always do what SI does with football manager mate. Leave the graphics as packs and leave them to the users to create. They can upload and then the people can just install if they want. I mean look at the ribbon app, the new graphics, I also remember the nice planet pack of VB6 for instance. You can leave the blank icons (like they do with the players) so we know what to put where and it's done: No more BS. I understand copyright but it just doesn't make sense for what you do. I mean the poor fella is here harassing for a picture when with all due the respect I bet he just cannot figure out why he cannot produce a decent game like yours with 10 times the people and resources.

Mate.  .  .   you'd be surprised how similar ES and Aurora are.   Both are made by people who make tremendous efforts just to bring joy to their players.   That excludes me, btw, if you had bothered to look it up you would've noticed that I'm but a small contributor.   I have immense respect for such people, that's why it really bothers me when their work is "stolen".   Imagine if someone distributed parts of Aurora under their name without attribution, I'm sure you'd feel just a little bit offended.

And calling this harassment or toxic is a pretty heavy-handed.   I gave Steve the benefit of the doubt and made a polite request, and was proven right when he reacted in exactly the right way.    Go figure.

An Aurora player noticed and mentioned it on our discord, and I decided to take a look.   Not gonna call out names because apparently there are people who think of this as toxicity.

I checked and that is exactly what SI does. What is the benefit of having separate packs? If I simply take the images files out of the game download and make them a separate available download, does that remove any issue with copyright because they are not directly part of the game?

I mean look at the ribbon app, the new graphics, I also remember the nice planet pack of VB6 for instance. You can leave the blank icons (like they do with the players) so we know what to put where and it's done: No more BS. I understand copyright but it just doesn't make sense for what you do. I mean the poor fella is here harassing for a picture when with all due the respect I bet he just cannot figure out why he cannot produce a decent game like yours with 10 times the people and resources.

I checked and that is exactly what SI does. What is the benefit of having separate packs? If I simply take the images files out of the game download and make them a separate available download, does that remove any issue with copyright because they are not directly part of the game?

I think the idea is that the packs will be made by players and not you so you don't get any responsibility (or legal problems) for what graphics we decide to use with our campaigns.

I think one benefit is that what you distribute can be easily pared down to respect copyright requests, and can include the “none of the art is mine. . . ” text file discussed earlier.

The big advantage is that it lets users match the expected format and distribute their own image packs independently of you, so that you aren’t responsible for maintaining what could theoretically be a huge set of images (as FM face packs usually are :) ).

No, because the license that the images files use lets you do whatever you want with them and is explicit about what you have to do to be compliant with regards to copyright.  Your disney et al images are. . .  who knows.  Probably not legal to use but it depends on who the original author is.  Putting art in a game is not, in fact, fair use.  Putting them in a separate pack doesn't actually change anything, because you'd still be breaching 'normal' copyright.

However, and this is important, the prior examples given ARE NOT RESTRICTED IN THE SAME WAY.  You can do whatever you want with those ES files because they EXPLICITLY give anyone permission to use them, forever.  That license can not be changed retroactively.  There are only two conditions that MIGHT apply to you; attribution and making available your changes.

The first is easy, stick a readme in the download, list the files and attribute the author or collective group that produced it.  That's it.

The second can seem complicated, but it is not.  There's just a serious lack of literacy going around.  You need to make available, by whatever means are convenient, the files that you produce FROM the original image file, except for changes to format or to comply with other copyright requirements - like if you had to encrypt all of your images as a requirement to use one of the other images.

What this means is that if you modify the image itself, like changing colors, adding or modifying the image beyond resizing it, you need to have some way for anyone to request that NEW file.  That can be my email, download on your site, including it in the download, or even just mailing them a CD.

If you used the image, and created a wholly new image - like a button, it needs to be shareable.  If your engine takes the image and just loads it on top of an in-game button? You haven't changed or made a derivative work with the image so you don't have to share anything.  Just give credit.

The specific license also means that if you DID make a derivative of the image, it too is licensed under the same form of copyright.  Making available would be your only requirement.

tldr; Aurora is NOT a derivative work just because it includes or even modifies the files Steve used.  Stop spreading FUD and read the licensing, free and open software already has enough problems without everyone being afraid of working with permissive licensing.

Mate.   .   .    you'd be surprised how similar ES and Aurora are.

Edited for clarity.

They call this harassment because it is.  You made baseless claims against Steve with either an ignorant or disingenuous attempt at quoting a licensing scheme.  Either hoping he'd feel shamed or scared into releasing code for fear of reprisal or forcing him to change his game and pull out perfectly legal content.  Again, I need to be clear to everyone looking to wave a claim of infringement or even just willing to entertain the idea that the claim is valid - READ THE LICENSE.  Creative Commons provides concise, easy-for-the-layman terms that are only a google away.

Imo the legality doesn't matter much. They want their pictures out, or attributed. They should be taken out or attributed.

That is true ONLY is is Steve that releases the packs if is a community pack then the single creator of the pack could get some copyright issues true. The problem is Disney or any other entity will never chase the single person as: a- it's a wate of money and time and b- all the activities (including aurora) are no profit so again there is no money here. You will get a slap on your wrist and a notice to remove the contents (recently happened to FMSCOUTS, but guess what? same contents now are available on other sites.

Back to you Steve: if you make Aurora graphic modding friendly (no mod beware) like I said, so for example leaving the pictures as blank portraits so that any person can replace that file with Uma Thurman for instance you are 100% out of the woods. Same as it happened with the ribbons. A user made a program to create some new, you off the hook. They could make same for the flags so you have no issues with Star Trek or Disney in using their flags. As long as they install it properly nothing changes and they will not break the game or cause any unexpected bug.

Lastly: I AM SORRY if I have used a strong word as my intention was to highlight how extreme the situation is considering here there is just a community trying to support and enjoy Steve's hobby. I am a big fan of ES and probably one of the most disappointed person of what happened with ES2. I, in fact, still own the original release and play it sometimes.

Also please to everybody do not follow on my path as I dont want to trash this thread. I have lightly made a stupid comment and it was fair to highlight an issue by one of the contributor. I think it is a good opportunity for Steve to sort eventual future issues if Aurora scales up in popularity. We are an amazing community and graphics packs are already there for us to use. My FM library is 6GB and makes me enjoy the game even more: SI is still there and all creators are still there and growing.

The first is easy, stick a readme in the download, list the files and attribute the author or collective group that produced it.  That's it.

I would really like to do this - the problem I don't know the origin of many of the files. A large proportion of the race images were provided by a player for example. All the others were simply the result of an image search. I didn't download them from a specific website. I would guess the national flags and the medals are fine, although there are some flag files that are image searched. I've added a comment to the download and the readme stating that if anyone wants removal or attribution, please let me know.

Using player-provided images is very easy BTW. If you put them in the various image sub-directories, the game will find them automatically. That is already coded. Maybe it is time to start a new sub-forum for players to provide image files.

EDIT: Looks like someone beat me to it :)

I am going to remove all the race files where I don't know the origin. I am going to leave the star wars, star trek, etc because they have been on the game for 15 years without Disney, etc. raising a concern. Players can then use the images provided by other players to boost the total.

Yeah I get you, there's always a lot of uncertainty in projects that utilize material from sources that are either unknown or are themselves already relying on other material.   Better safe than sorry, but please don't get spooked by copyright concerns - as others have said, no one who matters is going to pester you over an the assets you've been using in a way that might jeopardize your work.

edit: Recent drama may have given me the impression that the image pack idea would fall on the 'Steve says no' side of things, but if it's already supported. . .  then yeah, that's awesome.  Otherwise you're doing things fine - if the author is unknown, there's no downside to your approach.  You've shown due diligence.

Edit (2020/05/25) - not a new post because i don't want to warm this up again.

Sigh. . .  since i just received a couple more misinformed remarks, let me set y'all straight.

The fact that i have to highlight this shows how much i've failed to bring my point across.  I'm sorry for the controversy, and again, thank you Steve for reacting correctly (though, let's face it - incorrect distribution on your part is what got us here in the first place).

Minor question, the first post has the link to the full 151 .rar file listed as "(125Mb) but when I download it's 120MB in my browser (and more specifically 122,884KB in my file folder).  May I assume this is the correct file size (as of this time) and the 125MB is from an earlier edit of the OP?

Probably a stupid question but I am assuming 64 bit Aurora isn't an option yet.  Nothing came up when I searched the forums.  I'm just checking because is a x86 . dll included in the installation, I thought I might have missed something obvious and I could just copy that into the main directory or something to run it in 64 bit.

Assuming this isn't an option has there been any news on when 64 bit Aurora might be released and if it will make a big difference to how the game runs? I assume it would process turns faster and could cope with a much larger database.

There are many tools that can take a 32bit exe and make them able to use more RAM, which in other programs provides a big boost to performance.  I can't say if it'd work in aurora, but it might.  Needless to say don't report any bugs you find without verifying that they happen in an unmodified game as well.

Btw the game is currently on version 1.12.0 with 1.13.0 in the works so do not be fooled by the 1.5.1 version.

So do we still download from the link in post #1 of this thread, or is there another thread for d/loading from. And are there any installation packs? I remember those being a thing for the non-C# version.

When you install aurora C# for the very first time you download 1.5.1 which is the full install. Once that is done, you download the 1.12 patch from the C# installation sub-forum and replace both AuroraDB.db and Aurora.exe with 1.12 versions. Any further updates are installed in the same way that you patch 1.12 as I just described.

Also noteworthy is the version numbering scheme. 1.12 - 1.13 is known as a DB update, you must replace both AuroraDB.db and Aurora.exe when such an update drops, because you replace the DB file, these updates are not save compatible. However, lets say instead you have 1.12 - 1.12.1 - when updating in this situation it is an executable only update so you only replace the .exe file, these patches are save compatible.

For future players, you do not need to download any patches at this point as Steve has updated this Full Install to be version 1.13.0 - currently the latest version. You can ignore most of this thread as obsolete and irrelevant at this point.

There might be a separate thread / post for version 1.14.0 patch eventually.

Disable windows defender, or whichever component deletes the files.

This has been a known issue in older versions already.

You should register your account so that you can post normally.

As for your question:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAR_(file_format) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAR_(file_format))

It's a compressed archive file format that has been around since 1993 and alongside .zip is the most popular of its type. It's a convenient way for Steve to make sure that all game files are in one place for players to use.

There are wide array of programs that can unpack them. My personal recommendation would be 7-Zip as it's free, & open-source fast, reliable and can handle pretty much every archive file type. You can get it here: https://www.7-zip.org/ (https://www.7-zip.org/)

There's also the classic WinRar program here: https://www.win-rar.com/start.html (https://www.win-rar.com/start.html)

There are several tutorials available in the Tutorial sub-forum that can help you get started with Aurora: http://aurora2.pentarch.org/index.php?board=290.0 (http://aurora2.pentarch.org/index.php?board=290.0)

The Aurora WIKI is here: http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/index.php?title=Main_Page (http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/index.php?title=Main_Page)

The Aurora REDDIT is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/aurora/ (https://www.reddit.com/r/aurora/)

And the Aurora DISCORD is here: https://discord.com/invite/Dp7p6b8 (https://discord.com/invite/Dp7p6b8)

Finally, putting a problem into Google will generally help you find a solution lot faster than posting it as a question here. Especially something as basic as this. That doesn't mean that you cannot ask questions, just that it's better if you seek answers at first.

Hi to all, I just downloaded v1. 13. 0 Full Installation file, but my antivirus program tells me its a severe Trojan! Please help. . .
Which antivirus scanner and what's the exact message?

Because my antivirus (Avast Free) thinks it's clean, and uploading the archive to VirusTotal says that it's clean by a vote of 55 to 1.

Keep in mind that antivirus programs tend to be paranoid at the upper end - better to register a false positive (and block a harmless program) than register a false negative (and allow a virus through).

Because Steve uses obfuscation code to protect the game, it's possible that Aurora gets flagged as potential trojan. It's not, it's safe and the alerts are false positives. I've never gotten a false positive myself with Win 10 Defender though.

Just tested it again and all is fine.

...Windows 10 Defender is... not a very good antivirus.  Get a standalone virus scanner - Avira, Avast, Bitdefender, or Kaspersky are all good choices.

The actual message is not a proper "this is a specific malware" message, but merely a "this kinda sorta makes me think of malware" message;  that's what the !ml part at the end means, as I understand it.

Given the two points above, odds are good that it's Defender being overly paranoid.  It's your decision as to whether you override Defender and get to play Aurora 4x, or not.

No. Steve had tested the changes to create a x64 Aurora some time ago and found no improvement in performance, and in some cases worse performance, so he has never released this version.

??? Is v1.13.0 still the latest official release?

I looked at the "Installation Mirror" topic. However, it seems the vast majority of links there are broken (all except Mega, Google Drive and Mediafire, though I haven't tried the torrents). And the version numbers mentioned there mostly seem obsolete, too. Indeed, there's not a single post made there that's newer than 2020. And only one post has been updated in 2021 (none in 2022). I also get confused how there seems to be a separate 1.5x branch and a 1.9x branch that are labelled as "obsolete" - this, despite how, from a mathematical viewpoint, both "1.51" and "1.95" should be considered higher and more recent than, say, "1.13"...

Further:

Despite how the last update to the OP (#1 post) was over a year ago today, I've noticed on the GitHub or GitLab for certain C# utilities such as "Aurora Government Simulator". For example, I see "Bump version to 1.99.0.4" as a note for the commit published just yesterday, with a trail of mentions for 1.99 that goes back at least 3 or 4 weeks.

Is version 1.99.x an internal branch only available to beta testers?

And the version numbers mentioned there mostly seem obsolete, too. Indeed, there's not a single post made there that's newer than 2020. And only one post has been updated in 2021 (none in 2022).

Only the third to last (http://aurora2.pentarch.org/index.php?topic=10644.msg121825#msg121825) post in that thread (by Paul Shakur) seems to be up-to-date. All the others are for old versions. Since those mirrored downloads are community-provided by individuals, there is no way to keep them up-to-date except for those individuals to do so themselves. The most recent version (1.13.0) was released in April 2021.

I also get confused how there seems to be a separate 1.5x branch and a 1.9x branch that are labelled as "obsolete" - this, despite how, from a mathematical viewpoint, both "1.51" and "1.95" should be considered higher and more recent than, say, "1.13"...

The version numbers are not mathematical - it is a "(Major version).(Minor version).(Patch number)" format. So 1.13.0 is the 13th minor update to the 1st major version, with no patches, and is newer than 1.5.1, which was the first patch for the fifth update. (The next planned release of the game will be v2.0.0). Generally, patches do not require replacing the database (thus destroying save files), while minor/major version updates do. If a link says "1.51" it is a typo/abbreviation of "v1.5.1".

Despite how the last update to the OP (#1 post) was over a year ago today, I've noticed on the GitHub or GitLab for certain C# utilities such as "Aurora Government Simulator". 3rd party utilities can use whatever versioning format they like and may or may not correlate to the versions of the actual game. I believe that the utility you are referring to is simply using "1.99.x" to mean "updates in preparation for Aurora v2.0.0". There are no internal beta testers with an unreleased version of the game other than Steve himself.

I'm probably doing something wrong...

I run a new game, but all my constructions and research seem to finish instantly.
There's also no option to choose 'solar system fully explored'.

What is your decimal separator on your system? I think it has to be period or the game goes wack.

Idk what the missing option is though, I assume you had SM enabled as it is an SM feature.

Also can't get the download to work - even after turning off anti-virus and using 2 different browsers (Chrome and Brave).

Ok, for future reference.    This has nothing to do with anti-virus.

It has to do with the SSL certificates not being verifiable.    The way around this - and to check what I am saying - is to right-click the link and then "Save As" - this is only for people who are having this issue.   Damned if I know why some people aren't have that issue, but perhaps they have zero security checking for SSL certs.

Under the downloads tab it will then tell you it held that download up because the site was not verifiable.    And you can click "Download anyway"

This is why no such error occurs for people when they use the alternate download sites for 1. 13 - because Mega doesn't have that problem.    It clearly has nothing to do with the file - because anti-virus would flag it no matter where it came from.
