Extreme close range missile help

Hi!

What would happen if I fire my missiles on such a close range that it would be inside a 5 sec tick to reach the enemy ship? I assume area defence fire wont work and no time for AMM s and probably they are out of AMM s at that point anyway.
How would it effect the final defensive fire command? What about CIWS? They should still work right?
I am thinking about building a missile that can cover my BFC s range within 5 sec. But not sure if it would work.

CIWS and Final defensive fire works normally.

I would assume reading that post that area defence would work as well, but I have not been in such a situation yet so I'm not 100% sure.
