Mines and detonations

Hi,

When I lay a minefield (reworked buoys), will all the mines detonate (and free their ASM) when a ship passes at the range of their sensor? I suppose so? So this would mean that even a tiny forward ship could detonate my entire minefield of 100 mines, theoretically?

Yes.
Spread them out if you want to prevent that.
