About diplomacy
« on: September 28, 2015, 06:50:18 PM »
So, i have almost everything set up to begin my AAR (Humanity Last Hope), but there´s one thing im nto yet familiar with, and that is the way how diplomacy works on Aurora4x, so i have a few questions:

First, on my planet, there nothing less than 7 factions, 6 being NPRs, my question is, how do i actually "find" them? when i set up this scenario, i thought that because they were on the same body, they would know of each other from the start, but this does not seem to be the case, so how do i actually contact them?

I´ve found the Inteligence window, but there´s no factions there, not even a SM option to see the other factions, nothing. Why?

Run a 5 second update, everyone will get intelligence on each other from sensors.
It may take 5 minutes to process since at the start there a lot of checks needed for discovery or intelligence, a 5 day or 1 month update would probably take just as long though.
Alternatively you may be using a somewhat better of then the craptop I'm currently stuck with after frying my motherboard attempting to fix the charger.
Damn automatic voltage switching, what even does that third wire do? XD

". . .  We know nothing about them, their language, their history or what they look like.  But we can assume this.  They stand for everything we don't stand for.  Also they told me you guys look like dorks. "

Welcome to the future, it's all about the information warfare baby.
I'm still trying to work out what to turn off myself, try the 'sensors, display and display 2' tabs.
For a start Turn off civilian names, and check 'actives only'

They will be different colors.
