Planetary assault.
« on: December 14, 2008, 11:00:10 AM »
Ok, how do I get my divisions off my troop transports? From the TG menu I choose unload all troops on the specified enemy planet but the events result says I cant unload them without a friendly population there. Ok there must be a command to invade not just drop off but I cant find it in the TG menu or the f8 battle orders area.

Poor troops stuck on the ships for over a month now :)

Hm, you could create a colony in the F9 screen using the SM functions, but I guess there should be a automatism like when you order a transport to unload a planetary sensor or an automated mine on a planetary body you don´t have a colony already established.

You need to create a pop on that planet and unload them to the pop. Ground combat always takes place between two populations, even if one "population" consists solely of ground units.
