ok,

the quantity is the maxium of minerals the could be harvrestet on an planet!?
so in this case the earth have very pure mineral stocks.

i have to colonisate other planets or mine asteroids, if i have to grow my human culture!?
. . .  but for an colonisation modul here on earth i need more minerals that my home planet got.
so i have to. . . .  mine asteroids or. . . what else am i able to do?

...that's got to be a pretty sucky start if you don't have enough minerals on earth for a cryo module...

I am 99% sure at this point you are confusing throughput with what's actually needed.

Okay, have  you ever considered... not building anything?

Just stop building stuff while it mines.  I have NEVER seen an Earth start with such limited resources I couldn't at least build a couple of freighters (let alone another 100 mines).  Get some freighters going.  Take automated mines to asteroids.  Have same said freighters pick up the ore, take it back to earth.  Once you aren't DYING from lack of minerals, build mass drivers, leave one on earth, take 1 out to an asteroid/planet/whatever, and have it automatically send the stuff back to earth.

If you really, really, really, really, can't seem to get "off earth".  Then perhaps you need to stop playing conventional start.  If you are playing a Trans-Newtonian start, and can't get off Earth at all, you are playing... oddly?  And maybe to help you out start with 'planetary body surveyed" or what in game start, so you don't even have to build a geo ship to know where the minerals are in Sol.

I mean... a basic cargo ship should probably cost less than 1000 of each mineral.  Probably a lot less.

An automated mine costs 120 Duranium/120 Corundum.   As long as you start with at least 2500 of each mineral on your planet, you should not be in an "impossible" situation.  (Mind you, if you start with less than 2500 of Duranium and Corundum AND have no good minerals in the system...  Just restart... seriously. )

I think your main problem is you are confusing throughput with how much minerals you have.  Stop building.  Period.  Watch your minerals start stacking back up now that you aren't inhaling them.  Normally your construction is taking as many of those as it can and applying it immediately.  Sure, maybe working at half rate will delay all your stuff, but it will happen eventually.

I think you are relying on earth's minerals too much.  Earth WILL run out.  FAST.  I'm surprised you lasted as long as 2038.

You have GOT to get mining capacity on other planets.  Geosurvey them with your ships, then get mines on the good ones.  Whats a good world to mine?  At least 4 minerals, with quantity >100,000 and an accessibility greater than 0.5.  Emphasize duranium and corunduium-- as i said above, those run out first.

THIS is a mining world:

next question,
while im looking at diverse posts and reading about, for example: "codes for any ships" (design)
i dont understand the shortkey in there.
can someone be so kind tell or post the shortkeys for aurora.

I assume by shortkeys you mean acronyms?  For example, people say FC when they mean Fire Control or ECM when they mean Electronic Countermeasure?

If this is correct, then http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/index.php?title=Glossary from the Aurora Wiki is useful, as other new players have experienced the same problem.

This might be useful information related to mining and minerals.  It comes from the Aurora Wiki at http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/.

Duranium is the most common mineral and used for almost everything.  Therefore, it is arguably the most important mineral.  This primarily includes Construction Factories (CFs), Mines, Automated Mines, and starships.

Neutronium is primarily used for shipyards, advanced armors, and kinetic weapons like railguns or orbital bombardment systems.

Corbomite is primarily used for advanced shields, stealth systems, and Electronic Countermeasure (ECM)/Electronic Counter-countermeasure (ECCM) systems.

Tritanium is primarily used for missiles and Munitions Factories.

Boronide is primarily used for power systems, capacitors, and Terraforming Facilities.

Sorium is primarily used for jump drives, jump gates, and by Fuel Refineries to produce fuel.

Uridium is primarily used for sensors and Fire Control (FC) systems.

Corundium is primarily used for energy-based beam weapons.

Mercassium is primarily used for Research Facilities, life support systems, and tractor beams.

Vendarite is primarily used for fighters, Fighter Factories, and fighter bases.

. . .   i will try to make that.

but will you now whats realy funny and i think its not possible?
starting year 2035 the mineral galacite didint exist any more, and im actually in year 2038.
i think another half year and other minearal like boronide and sororium while be sone exhausted.

Do you mean that your stockpile of mined Gallicite on Earth is exhausted, or do you mean that Earth itself has run out of Gallicite to mine?  If the former, then you can simply mine more Gallicite from Earth.  If the latter, then there might be something wrong with that new game, as Earth should start with Gallicite to mine.

Gallicite is primarily used to construct engines for your starships and missiles.

. . . . how can i increase the mining rate?

You can increase the rate of mining by constructing more Mines and Automated Mines.  You can also increase the rate of mining by researching Mining technologies.  Finally, you can increase the rate of mining by mining minerals from bodies with higher mineral accessibility.  For example, 1 is the most accessible and 0.1 is the least accessible.

Bodies (i.e. planets, moons, asteroids, and comets) eventually run out of minerals.  Before your bodies, like the Earth, run out of minerals, you need to expand into space and establish colonies on new bodies.  For example, colonize an asteroid in Sol with extensive and accessible minerals that you can then mine.

1.  Research the Mining tech -but don't research the Construction tech.  (If you do, then you are just going to start using up more minerals than you are mining again.)

2.  Look for nearby planets that have better availability of minerals.  (Example, You are running short on Duranium.  Earth has 8 million units of Duranium at 0.2 accessibility, but Mars has 250k at 0.8 - Get some mines to Mars.  Yes, Earth may have more TOTAL Duranium, but you can only extract that at 0.2*(Mining Rate), but Mars can extract at 0.8*(Mining Rate)).

EXPECT to run out of resources.  Plan ahead.  Like, way ahead.  Also, if you see a planet with a TON of minerals, save up your best Geology team for it (train them up on asteroids you don't care about first if you want), to try and improve accessibility on it.  I often find giant planets with millions of units of resources on them... but only .1/.2 accessibility.  That means that while I probably won't run out for a while, I would be gimping my resource flow by 1/10 what is possible.

3.  Early on, asteroids are your best friend. They may not be full of minerals, but they will have decent accessibility compared to the planets you usually find in your starting system.

the quantity of my recources went every  single turn one down to zero.
i've got at start 200 automated mines, and 880 mines.  isn't that enough?
i even can't build a coloni-ship to advance into space.
some post i've read.  i was suprised how "many" ships, huges and small ships they have build for there empires.
what can i do against that that my recources ddin't run out of supply, in other way to say i would like to earn more supply/minerals,turn by turn.

The various constructin and mining rates are increases on how fast you get the minerals out of the ground.  If your mining rate is the base 10 then at accessability of .5 you will get 5 tons per year per mine of that mineral.  Each mineral figures the rate seperatly based on the acceseability and then multiplies by the number of mines on the planet.  If you have twice the mining rate (20) then you would produce 10 tons a year per mine.  This means that you will mine the planet out twice as fast.  Construction works the same way.  You want to keep the minerals flowing in.

Hm I'm not totally clear on whats going on-- but we can start with the minerals:

Hit F2 then click the "mining" tab.

Theres about what, 11 different minerals that you can mine.  The most important, arguably, are Duranium and Corundium.  Duranium goes into everything, corundium goes into mines.  You go out and find planets moons and asteroids with minerals on them.  Then you have to build mines -- automines work without cities-- and transport them there.

To bring those minerals home, you need a freighter or whats known as a mass driver.

Every game goes through whats known as a duranium crash, because there is generally not enough duranium near earth to support its production capacity.  I spend all the minerals I have in the early game to go out and get those minerals.

If your economy is already crashed, you won't be able to build more mines and you won't be able to build the freighters, so you may have to restart the game.

To give an idea of the kind of mining capacity you need, I have built about 5000 automines in my current game, all of which are pouring minerals to my inner planets, and I can still burn the entire stock of corundium in about 3 months because the industrial capacity is so high.

hi

i dont understand the mechanics of mining in aurora.
my minerals run's out of supply, and so im not able to build ships.
in the research window, i research alot for constuction and production, to achieve that that wont happen.
and even now, my minerals are exhausted.
what to do?

next question,
while im looking at diverse posts and reading about, for example: "codes for any ships" (design)

can someone be so kind tell or post the shortkeys for aurora.
