Hey guys,
Can I go through a wormhole? If so, how?
If not. . . next patch. . . ? ;D
I've read spoilers & maybe that behaviour can continue, but change those wormholes to be "unstable wormholes", while your stable wormholes are traversable by jump drive equipped/new tech equipped vessels?
Whaddaya reckon?

Not possible as far as I know.

I don't see any post about it in the changelog thread, so I doubt it'll change next patch.

Warning spoilers ahead! The fluff is that the Invaders are extra-galactic in origin. Transiting the wormhole would mean you would be jumping to their home galaxy. Basically it would be like trying to fight the Andromedans of SFB in their home galaxy. At present Steve has not expressed any desire to allow players to transit the wormholes

I know this is way late (apologies to the mods!) but is there any chance this will change? I really want to take the fight to the enemy after they killed a hundred million of my people.

Master of Orion when?
Well you could try simulating it, create a new system that's sufficiently scary looking, disable all the jump points in it so it's isolated, create a new race with absurdly high tech level there. Then use space master to get your fleets into the system.
If you're satisfied they're defeated go ahead and turn off the invaders.

That's a temporary work-around, I suppose, but I'd prefer an actual official mechanic.

Something like xcom apocalypse would be nice, enter the wormhole and end up in a new galaxy inhabited by the spoilers, instead of the normal NPR generation chance every system gets a ton of invaders. One system somewhere contains the homeworld where they have max tech level and a stupid amount of massive ships.

Moving this to the Spoilers forum - it's dancing a little to close (IMO) to talking about what unstable wormholes are associated with.

Transiting the other way may happen one day - it is on my long-term mental list :)

So actually there is no way to defeat the invaders other than turning them off and destroying which ships they have in the galaxy?

Pretty much.

Think of them this way. They have concurred their own galaxy and many more. They will have the production even greater than the Imperium of Man or the Galactic Empire because the invaders have multiple galaxies and all the resources they contain. A galaxy have millions systems, so you can see there would not be any beating them with a new space faring people.

I thought there might be a plot coming... ;) We all know about the Goa'uld defeated by a single team of 5 people :D

yes but that strained credulity so far it broke it, went round far enough to fix it, then broke it again, etc etc etc.
