There is an upgrade due later this year which moves the start date earlier and moves the end date back to the 70's with ASM's added

I own the first version of the game. Does the 2nd have a copy protection system now? I am not very confident it will run on Linux if it does and stopped following the development when they announced one. Linux is pretty picky when it comes to those. The version 1 runs fine though.
Oh and a second question: Is there a good wiki right now? The game gives AP penetration values for your ships and I have no idea how you convert them into SAP and HE values. This choosing ammunition tricky.
