Capital change?

My capital has changed from Sol to a colony.   I have tried to find where this is set.   I suspect the cat stomping all over the keyboard while playing may have done this.

Aurora used to automatically designate your largest population as your capital.  I believe the F2 'Population & Production' window has a button somewhere to 'make Capital' or Designate Capital' the selected population.  It might only be available in SM mode.

Father Tim is mostly correct - lower left corner of the F2 screen is where you will find the Capital button. Does not require SM mode.
