On Vacation

I've been in Sorrento, Italy since Friday and won't be home until next weekend, so I will be slow answering forum posts for a while.

This is a great place for food, wine and scenery (as is every other place I have visited in Italy :) ) so pay a visit if you can. Although I am still getting used to opening the curtains in the morning and seeing Vesuvius across the Bay of Naples. I wonder how long it takes to become comfortable living beneath a dormant volcano.

Well, I'm sure the citizenry of Pompeii were comfortable with Vesuvius right up until they weren't ;)

Going to Pompeii tomorrow and also visiting the crater of Vesuvius. This would not be a good time for the first eruption since 1944 :)
