Board Donations
« on: August 10, 2010, 01:35:30 PM »
As some of you may be aware, I've been unemployed since early 2008. I've put this off as long as I could, attempting to find other ways to accomplish this, but the hosting fees for the site are close to being due. While not overly much on a monthly basis, my host charges in 2 year increments. So I am making this appeal to the users here to please donate a little bit. If 20 people donate $10, the fees for the next 2 years will be covered.

This is not an attempt to make any money from Steve's brainchild and baby. I'd much rather be able to cover the fees myself, but there is no way at this time.

The easiest way to donate for the board, is the "Donate" button found at the bottom of the screen.

Once the fee total is met, I will lock/delete or otherwise remove this thread.

As always, any donations for Steve may be sent to his paypal in the global "Donations" thread.

As a P.S. if anyone knows of any IT programmer positions, send me a private message and we can talk details.

Done!

If you haven't already got one, I would advise a LinkedIN account and then join whatever Group(s) that cover your programming languages. They should generate daily emails that contain discussions and most importantly job advertisements.

You can link-in to your previous employeers and see if they can right recommendations for you too.

I do have a LinkedIn account, and facebook, and twitter.

My biggest challenge is that when ads say ".NET" they really mean C#. I've been programming client/server in VB since version 3. C'est la vie.

And on the donation side, thank you. :)
