Clone TG
« on: February 01, 2016, 04:15:14 PM »
It would be really nice to be able to copy a TG and have all its special orders and whatnot copied over into the copy.  It gets pretty microey setting up surveyors for me, and then there are small mistakes that lead to stranded surveoyrs because they tried to gas up at a supply base or whatever.

Look in the academy section for the tutorial on carriers, it includes standard fighter operations along with how to setup survey groups in an efficient way. Part of this is a detailed method on how to split a TG and how to ensure it copies all orders over.

Huh.
iirc, this option already exist in the naval organization tab, its one of the 16(?) buttons that many glaze over. And should be covered in the tutorial provided by Rich.h

Ah yeah, no that was a 'oh i see' huh rather than a 'huh?' huh.  I'll go over the tutorial again (read it shortly after my post) next time I start a game (probably seconds after 7.2 is released, I'm so jazzed about orbital habitats being feasible all of a sudden)
