This is the list of the so-called "Second Generation" of Starships, built from 2048.
This generations starts with the first military vessel, the Warlord Class Cruiser.

The USS (previously UNF) Warlord was built in 2048 and was followed, in 2049 by the USS Alexander and the USS Hannibal.

SCIENTIFIC VESSELS


The Gagarin class is a specialized Geological survey vessel that was built to allow a faster scan of the asteroids on the Sol System. Two Gagarin class are active in 2055, the USSV  (United Systems Scientific Vessel) Gagarin and the USSV Halley.

The Discovery class was built to substitute the old Prometheus class in the gravitational survey. Thanks to it's lesser size (2,650 tons instead of 6,000) it can explore jump poins with only the support of a Transit Class Jump Tender.
