a shaking fist emote would be handy here:

And this is what the 'Hide Civilian Ship Names' checkbox was made for, haha
-
Good heavens

Well, I hope you've stopped subsidizing them at any rate. And upped their taxes- this is what you get with corporate welfare... ;)
-
I think I gave a thousand to two of the smaller corps, but holy god theres 5 of them now.

Any self-respecting armchair king/general/führer knows that for times like these it's death or taxes.

Wow, you're lucky to have so few civilian ships around...
I only have 2 corps, but... erm... They're a bit overbuilding...
(63 ships for Preston Marine, the oldest of the two... and over 200 for Chao Logistics)
At least I have no trouble moving automated mines around.

I wish the map were better about grouping similar contacts. There should be a way to consolidate all of that down to:
Civilian Freighters (x40)
Civilian Colony Ships (x34)
The map seems to do this at times, but it's spotty.
-
the "hide active IDs" option on the "contact" tab works quite well for ennemy ships, but unfortunately not on civilians.

Contacts tab -> contact filter menu -> no civilian.

Thanks, fortunately, I know of this option - I'ld have quit before the 100th civ ship without it.
We were talking about the "stacking" of ship contacts, which does not seems possible for civilians (and should not be possible at all when they're all in a conga line between Earth and Callisto)

I'd actually probably be happiest with the option to leave markers on the map for civilian ships, but remove any sort of text. Little, spaceship-sized, civilian colored circles would be great. Much like we can already do with orbital bodies.
-
Hide civ ship names works like that, so Steve already thought of that one.

I see. I hadn't quite noticed that. I have to turn my contacts to "hostile only" most of the time because I'm in a multi-nation start. Everyone has civs all over the place, and there's no way to hide /their/ civilian names without also hiding the contact entirely. Not that I've found, anyway.
