Gravitational Survey Sensors does show up 4.77(solved)
« on: January 11, 2010, 06:39:10 PM »
I am using windows 7 64 bit Ultimate,  OS.
I using Aurora 4.77

I have ran install and patch with 475 update and then patch with Aurora477.zip
When go through tutorial in part 4 it mention that there should be Gravitational Survey Sensors but don't see them on list.

Am I missing something?

ps. not sure if this is the right place post this which is reason I did new thread instead of reply.

Go to the Research tab of the Population (F2) screen.  Scroll the "Create new research project" selection down to "Sensors and Fire Control".  If you see "Gravitational Survey Sensors" on the list of available projects, then you've found your problem - you haven't yet researched the technology.  If you don't see it, try clicking the radio button below to "Completed" - that should show you all the techs you've already researched, including the ones that are given to you by the initial setup.  You should see both Gravitational and Geological Survey Sensor projects (I know you've got Geo-Survey researched because the component showed up in your screen shot).  If you don't see Gravitational Survey Sensors in either place, then you're probably really confused and I don't know how to help :-)  If they show up as already researched, then there's a good chance you've found a bug, which should go into the standard bugs thread.

John

PS - Don't forget to set the radio button back to "Available".

If you don't see Grav Survey, make sure you have researched Jump Point Theory.

Thanks Erik - that would make me the one that's confused if it doesn't show up in either place :-)
