Twin Planets
« on: October 25, 2009, 10:26:08 AM »
I have added twin planets to system generation for v4.45. This will only happen for terrestrial size planets and there is a 1% chance for a twin planet instead of one planet with moons. The twin will be within the same distance range as a moon and will appear as a moon on the system view but it will still be a normal terrestrial planet in all other respects. Just because one of a pair of twins is habitable, it doesn't mean the other will be, so twin habitable worlds are going to be very rare, However, if one is habitable, the other will obviously be within the habitable zone so it will have a reasonable chance for habitability. Which means a Home Hive V scenario is at least possible now :)
