@minorMenace: Also return to Game Details to ensure that the "No Overhaul Needed" option is checked.

Only if you wish to play without maintenance overhaul concerns.  That button is literally turning off the 'older ships break down more often' aspect of the game.

(Also, it doesn't 'roll back' the maintenance clock for existing units.  Nothing will advance anymore, but only new construction will get frozen at "one" (i.e. base rate); a ship taht been going seven and a half years will stay at 7.5 years.)

Its been a while since I hit that option. IIRC it caused me some problems when I turned it on while some ships were actively in overhaul.

@Father Tim: Excellent info!  Thanks for the heads-up not found anywhere else.    I'm unchecking "No Overhaul Needed" just for the "base rate" aspect.

Re-open Task Group.  Select Abandon Overhaul.   ;)

I do apologise if this isn't the correct place to put this, but I currently have my main fleet in for overhaul and some nasty enemies have just popped into Sol.  I'm trying to send the fleet to intercept but the 'add move' button is disabled (in the Task Groups screen).  Is there any way I can fix this or am I going to be defenceless until the overhaul is complete.  (I'm open to cheaty (SM) suggestions seeing as this is my first game and I probably shouldn't have put my only fleet in for overhaul when I knew they were being chased back).

Many thanks,

minorMenace
