Red Box at the Jump point I entered through? Existing Jump Gate?

I finally took the leap and jumped into another system.  (Lumen 16)

It was basically empty except for a binary star and 1 gas giant.

I started a geo-survey of the gas giant and a grav survey of the system.

By the time my geo-survey of the gas giant was done (dry well) My Grav survey ship had picked up a new jump point.

I brought my original jump shuttle through the first jump point and posted it at the new jump point then sent my geo-survey ship through.
It's now in Luyten143-23 but the jump point that it cam through has a red box around it.

Is that an indication that there's a jump gate there already?

Correct. Red boxes indicate jump gates that were not built by your faction.
