Title: Evil Steve! NPR is targetting my fleets Colliers

I have some pretty primitive next door neighbors that keep popping through 7k-14kton ships and attacking my jump point defense fleet.  And EVERY Time (3 times now) They shoot up my poor Collier and knock her shields flat, but I was ahead of Steve;)  I armor ALL my military ships.  So far they've not even been able to scratch the armor.

As for why my troops haven't landed and taken their lovely planet from them...(It's habitable!)  I um...sort of forget to build any troop ships at the start and it's taking two years to get it built.

Might I suggest pulling the colliers back from the WP?

That is, unless you like using them as a missile soak....

I was just thinking: "why are the colliers even with the fleet?"

Keep them elsewhere and move them in when you need them.

They're in no real danger there.  And since my own ships are purely missile armed, having resupply nearby is good.  Besides, the time is almost up for my troopship, just two more months and I'll be dropping a full division of heavy assault troops on their planet.  Normally I would have colliers detached with escorts, but it's silly to do so for 1-2 ships that can't even dent the things armor.

The only warning I would give is that this sort of thing is habit forming and before you know it your missile ships have no resupply because you had got into the habit of operating the colliers with the main fleet and ran into an alien who tech was enough to do more than knock your shields down.
