bottom of ship design screen cut off

I cannot design ships because the screen is cut off at the bottom, around five lines through the materials required box.  I cannot progress

There's an option for reduced size windows which fixes that. Look on the main menu bar. some windows are still slightly cutoff if you have a vertical resolution lower than 800 however.

I'm in front of my PC now so I can be more specific.
On the main menu which says "Game, Spacemaster, Empires, Calculations, Game Parameters, Miscellaneous, Help"
Click on "Game parameters", "Reduced height windows" is the first option.
If you're playing on a vertical resolution lower than 800 you will still find some buttons cut off the bottom of some windows. Theres a program people use called "resize enable" which allows shrinking windows slightly, it can take several tries to get some windows right as they can become scrambled.
