Purchased and read The Traitor on this recommendation.

Fantasy is not a genre I normally usually rate for any number of reasons, main gripe usually being that I find the world to be unconvincing (Tolkien's Orcs for example.  During peace time what do they eat? How does Mordor support so many Orcs, since Orcs do not appear to engage in agriculture and Mordor looks completely unsuited to either growing crops or raising cattle)?

I didn't really like the world depicted, but the substance and plot is pure brilliance.  Book is fully worth the time and money  :)

Title: The Traitor Baru Cormorant (or The Traitor in the UK)
Author: Seth Dickinson

I really need to pick this up again, purchased as soon as it was released and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I have been following Seth's writing for a while, especially since his participation with the Blue Planet series for FreeSpace 2 over at Hard Light Productions.

Has anybody else read The Traitor or another of Seth's stories?
