reloading and refueling from carrier question

When I design a carrier (with fighters), do I need to designate it as a collier and as a fuel tanker, for my fighters to be able to reload/refuel from it?
Or is that automatically implemented with the hangar, and setting the carrier as a mothership for it's fighters?

Yes, as far as I understand it.  I don't designate any of my carriers as tankers or colliers.
