Do NPRs get upset if you salvage their wrecks?
« on: June 27, 2012, 08:58:05 AM »
Like it says on the tin.

I'm playing a conventional-start game, and I'm less than 20 years into it and still very primitive in tech. I'm at "Friendly" status with a very advanced race... their ship speeds are around 7500 kps... and we are both at war with a second, less advanced race. The two NPRs fought a big battle in the friendly race's home system, and there are plenty of wrecks of both sides lying around.

Would anybody mind if I salvaged them?

Salvage away!  I'd be pissed, but I have these emotions.

Mostly lust for mineral wealth.
NPRs will care if you're in their systems salvaging wrecks, though.

Actually, I'm not sure they would be pissed at him being in their system if he's friendly? Either way, having a diplo team assigned to them will mitigate any damage most likely.

True.  Neutral or hostile NPRs won't like it.  Friendly NPRs won't mind a tick.
