I really like the auto-fire feature. Instead of just opening fire and then having the game crawl at 5 sec/pulse, my fleet flies happily and speedily towards the enemy until it is in range.
One thing that is missing, though, is some kind of notification that my fleet actually is on auto-fire. I become very nervous, thinking all the time: "Why don't they shoot?", but If I check my fire controls, they just say "holding fire", until they are in range, symbolized by the little "HF" tag on the individual fire controls.
What I would like is some extra symbol for auto-fire, like "HF(a)" or "HF-A".
(I am putting this suggestion here in the academy because what I am asking for may already be shown somehow, and perhaps it is just me that cannot see it. If so, please tell me where to look. If not, well, then I will re-post this in the suggestions forum :))
