Unseen Interrupts

I think there be a shooting war out there somewhere in the galaxy.  The fools.  They don't know I'm producing a massive production corridor in my isolated region of space and will burst upon the scene with no warning.

Unfortunatly, it takes a long time to really get that corridor going when I can only advance 5 or 10 second intervals.  No interrupt messages are showing up on my event list, but no matter the size of increment i choose, I get a five or 10 second jump after a long pause.

Sometimes it cools off, supposedly when the volly is cleared wherever they are shooting, but its kinda annoying.  Suggestions for getting past this, or grin and bear it?

Automated Turns. Then the interrupts will only occur for your  race.
