How to launch geo-survey missile from PDC at a planet?
« on: October 09, 2012, 10:32:17 AM »
I've tried using both the Task Group window and the Combat Overview window and it's not possible in either one. What am I doing wrong? My PDC has no fire controls since it's supposed to just be a "launch pad". I do have missiles, that's not a problem.

I am confused.  How do you expect to launch without fire control? That is a requirement regardless of platform.

Click on the planet/asteroid/comet and then click on 'add waypoint to last clicked' (cant remember correct wording) then go to the combat screen and fire the probe at the waypoint.

Yes, turns out that adding a MFC made all the difference. Thanks for the WP-hint, as putting them the normal way, they won't stick with the celestial bodies. Now to see how long it takes with a 0.01 strength Geo sensor to survey Luna and Mars.
