100 missiles every 5 seconds.
they are still shooting I think

My PD is gauss canon based though, since im doing a beam only challenge, and my armour is pretty thick, so if I get enough crew grade, I can pull this of, I have been taking down 50+ missiles all the time.

I had similar thing happen to me. But I think I've seen it mentioned somewhere around the forums that it's just a case of a ship having a LOT of missiles on board. Can happen with really cheap AI designs and its obsession with building lots of stuff, I guess.
