I have done so, in order to make things go right

My group recently started a new Starfire campaign using v7.2. The last time I used SA was back around version 6.8. Does the latest version handle the advance in admiral grades using the newer random system or does it still use the old system of advancement based upon the number of battles the admiral has made initiative roll in?

If the latter is the case does the program have the intelligence to realize that your Average grade admiral should improve to Crack after four battles? Or does a newly created Average admiral need to be credited with 2 battles in order for the system to keep things straight?
