Unloading from a PDC

I've got a single battalion-capacity PDC as my last line of defense against rampaging spoilers.  Now that I've loaded a garrison into it through the Ground Units tab, how do I get 'em back out again?  If need be.  I don't need be at the moment, mind you, but I just realized that a PDC ate my unit and I might want it back sometime.

Just need the buttons, is all.  I tried going to the PDC "Fleet" in the task force window, thinking there might be an unload command, but it said that there are no available actions for this PDC.

I believe it's on the Ground Force tab of the Economic screen. Should be a transfer to button next to a droplist. Select the colony and transfer.

Ah, so it shows up as a sub-colony?  That's what I used to transfer in, but couldn't figure out how to select the PDC in order to transfer out.

Thank'ee much.  I'll take a look when I'm done with the tyranny of the working day.

Okay, taking a look now.  Not seeing it.

On the Ground Units tab, in the section of "Transfer Ground Unit to PDC or Population" that's where I can select the original or one of my 2 single-battalion PDCs.  I transferred one Garrison each into those.  Now, I can select the PDCs by name, but the garrison units don't come up, so I can't see a way to transfer.

Ditto if I go to the tasks group section.  The PDC-Mars fleet lists the two garrison battalions, but there are no actions I can take with that fleet.

I'm sure it's obvious but I just need the button, y'know?  Button, button, who's got the button . . . . ?

Go to ground forces tab for the colony the PDC's are at.
Find the dropdown that says "population only" and select "population plus PDC's".
The embarked units should now be visible in the list. Select the embarked unit.
Using the dropdown under "transfer ground unit to PDC or population" select the colony and hit transfer.

Ahhh,so.  Hokay.  I've gotta add the 'embarked' units into the view.

Like I said, not urgent, but I didn't want my units gettin' swallowed up.
