Virus alert - W32/MSIL_Kryptik.KN.gen!Eldorado
« on: April 17, 2020, 04:14:24 AM »
Hello there, long time no see.

This is not a bug per se, but...

I just downloaded the brand new C# version and, as I am paranoid, launched a virus scan on all 1.00, 1.50 and 1.51 archives using virustotal.com

For all those archives, 2 engines (out of 28...) reported the detection of a potential malware :
Cyren : W32/MSIL_Kryptik.KN.gen!Eldorado
F-Prot : W32/MSIL_Kryptik.KN.gen!Eldorado

It is most probably a false positive, but I'ld like to know if someone else detected this one.

[EDIT] Same for the 1.51 full archive.

Thanks. As I said, it's most probably false positives.

At least this post will serve as a match if someone got the same alerts and use the search function of the forum ;D

Yes doesn't sound like anything to worry about.  Gave it a scan with ClamAV and came up empty.

Personal tip for Virus total, as  I use it extensively.
MOST files will get at least one or two hits. It's false positives, there's nothing to do aboout it.

You should only worry if you have at least half or so of the results showing you an "infected" result.
